Globally, road deaths continue to be a leading cause of deaths for all age groups. Vision Zero is a commitment by road authorities to achieve zero deaths and injuries from crashes on the transport system. In the past, road safety professionals and authorities have used past fatalities and injuries to address safety issues and achieve Vision Zero. However, this approach creates an ethical dilemma by requiring crashes to prevent future accidents.
Developing and offering a proactive approach to governments was a key motivation in the creation of AMAG, which was borne out of 15 years of university research and is enabling a paradigm shift in the transportation profession, replacing reactive, crash-based approaches with proactive, predictive approaches, enabling governments to take actions to prevent crashes before they occur.
AMAG has developed the world’s first Safe Mobility Alert Real Time (SMART) Digital Platform to support Vision Zero and Safe Systems policy goals globally. Using video analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), deep learning, and advanced econometrics techniques, AMAG has developed video analytics products to support transport management, operations, and planning applications.
AMAG delivered the first global SaaS product that delivers conflict-based analytics to customers. AMAG’s SMART products are now being deployed in six countries (Australia, Canada, Egypt, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and the United States).
