About Applied Electric Vehicles
Founded in 2015, Applied Electric Vehicles Ltd, is an Australian technology company developing safety rated, autonomous-ready, digitally controlled, Software Defined Machines™ redefining transport solutions.
Applied EV has developed a patented centralised software and electronic control system for autonomous and electric vehicle applications called the Digital Backbone™.
The Digital Backbone combines state-of-the-art software and hardware to control vehicles of all shapes and sizes. This process simplifies vehicle architecture, removes hundreds of components, reduces production costs, increases efficiency, and makes the entire ecosystem more sustainable. Therefore, it unlocks the complexity of all control and management functions of the vehicle, such as autonomous driving or managing drive-by-wire controls.
The company has also developed a programmable, cabinless, fully autonomous, electric vehicle entirely driven by software – the Blanc Robot™. Controlled by the Digital Backbone the Blanc Robot is a modular vehicle platform designed for various sectors and settings. The technology enables transport applications that are addressing the needs of the industry to be driverless, efficient, and certified for the highest safety standards.
Examples of the Blanc Robots applications include – but are not limited to – grocery and package delivery, garbage collection, surveillance, telecommunications, mining and farming sites, and other technical industrial applications.
By introducing autonomous technology to commercial and industrial applications, Applied EV's Blanc Robot goes where humans dont want to go to take the risk to human health and welfare out of the equation and contributes to eliminating labour shortages - unlocking all the benefits of autonomous transportation.
