Andrew Eckersley is the Head of Network Performance at Transurban. Over his 20 year engineering career he has been involved in road network optimisation at all levels. His passion is to create and contribute to projects that improve performance of the road network both in safety and efficiency. 

His projects have included defining operating parameters of the Freeway Management System, moving to a Safe Clearance model of Incident Response, driving RICI down to a record low on CityLink and recently the Pace Maker Lights, a world first in dynamic pace lights in the Burnley Tunnel. His current project is creating the strategic framework to integrate the West Gate Tunnel into the daily operations of the Victorian Freeway Network.
