Lee McKenzie is the Manager of Future Transport at Waka Kotahi, NZ Transport Agency and has been working in transport for over a decade after making the transition from law and policy work. Lee has been a director on the ITS NZ Board since 2016.
Lee is passionate about the potential of technology and data to drive change in the transport sector and address some of the big transport challenges, including reducing emissions, improving road safety outcomes, and increasing accessibility. Lee has been the driving force behind Hoe ki angitū, a transport innovation fund, designed to support the private sector to develop and accelerate innovative solutions that will help to solve some of Aotearoa New Zealand’s transport challenges.
