Luis completed his PhD in the discipline of Built Environment at the University of Technology Sydney (2019-2023), researching ride-sharing platforms, their design and development, and how drivers use them to challenge institutions in cities of the global south. He received his M.Sc. in Urban Economics from the Torcuato di Tella University in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Before coming to Australia, he worked as a policy research officer, coordinator and instructional designer for the Argentine Ministry of Transportation, the Argentine Ministry of Modernisation, the City Government of Buenos Aires, and the University of Buenos Aires. He has also worked as a research assistant and casual academic for the University of Technology Sydney, the University of Sydney and the University of Melbourne, and he is also currently working as CoLab Manager at the TD School, University of Technology Sydney.
