Ralf-Peter Schaefer is responsible for the global product portfolio the Traffic and Travel Information.  This includes products and services in the domain of Live and historical Traffic, safety cams, parking, fuel prices, weather and other dynamic services like Traffic Analytics and Traffic Management. 

He is 16 years part of TomTom and held different leadership positions in Research, Engineering and Product Management.

Ralf-Peter Schaefer has 20 years experience in research and development of content and products enabling car-centric traffic sensing and service delivery using probe vehicle data. With his team he developed varios applications for dynamic navigation, Traffic Analytics and Traffic Management. 

He is also responsible for the annual Congestion Index launch where TomTom provides congestion benchmarks for nearly 400 global cities.
