Richard is the Director Emerging Technologies at the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries, the peak representative body for the manufacturers and importers of passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles and motorcycles in Australia.

He is responsible for the coordination of the FCAI members and the development of the FCAI’s approach and policy response to new and future technologies in vehicle safety, autonomy, and environmental performance. Areas of focus include connected, cooperative and autonomous vehicle technologies and their regulatory environments, vehicle OEM aftersales services including vehicle service and repair, and end-of-life vehicles product stewardship.

Richard is also a Director on the Boards of ITS Australia.
