Through the European C-Roads Platform, European authorities and road operators join together to harmonise the deployment activities of cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS) across Europe. The goal is to achieve the deployment of interoperable cross-border C-ITS services for road users. Today we can state, that road-users along more than 100.000 km of European roads are served with C-ITS services. In parallel, approximately 1 million vehicles are able to receive C-ITS services. The talk will focus on the current achievements with a specific focus on the close cooperation between vehicle manufactures and infrastructure operators and give an outlook on the next steps for even broader deployment.
