Sheelan Vaez is the Manager of Network Data and Systems at the Department of Transport and Planning. Sheelan holds both Master and PhD in in Geospatial Information System and Spatial Data Infrastructure from the University of Melbourne. She joined VicRoads in 2011. Accumulating over 13 years of experience, Sheelan has adeptly navigated diverse roles within VicRoads, the Department of Transport, and the Department of Environment and Planning.

At present, Sheelan leads her team at Mobility and Insight where their efforts cantered around the innovation, design, and development of spatial technology services. Their primary objective is to fully leverage the potential of location intelligence, thereby optimising business outcomes.
