Thanura has an extensive transport planning background and is currently the Global Principal for Future Mobility for Jacobs. In this role he is responsible for driving strategy, growth & innovation, business development, global connectivity & partnerships, technical excellence in delivery and talent development across the future of mobility ecosystem. This includes:
- New and emerging modes such as electric vehicles, autonomous/connected vehicles, micro-mobility, demand responsive transport (DRT) and shared mobility
- New and emerging service models such as Mobility as a Service (MaaS)
- Enabling infrastructure needs for future mobility such as EV charging stations and mobility hubs
Thanura has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (1st Hons) from University of Auckland and Master of Philosophy in Sustainable Development From University of Cambridge, UK and is a Chartered Professional Engineer.
