Further it is important to investigate the effect of influential factors of road traffic accident and its root causes to overcome this burning issue. Hence the main objective of this paper is to discuss an analysis of the influential factors of road traffic accident in Sri Lanka. The study is limited to obtained data for the analysis only on reported incident within 2015 to 2020 by three districts of western province of Sri Lanka. The key variables are discussed in the paper as the behavioral information due to high rate of human involvement to increase the accident. The key factors are considered as demographic information of the involved users and demographic profile of the incident is compared.  The data is analysis by means of SPSS computer software for frequency analysis of the demographic information. The results are demonstrated in tables and discuss the results with cross tab comparison. The other two key factors are considered as the vehicle and the environment. The vehicle involvement and accident environment are also discussed. the three key variables are defined as the human, vehicle and environment are influence to the road traffic accident. All three variables are defined as independent variable and dependent is considered as the road traffic accident.  the results show the positive relationship between human, vehicle and environment factors are affect to road traffic accident. the estimated coefficients are significant and consistent. The study provides guidance to the relevant authorities in taking the necessary precautions by increasing awareness and concern for road safety measures to minimize the tragic consequences of road accidents in Sri Lanka.
