Chris Venables is an ITS engineer with 8+ years of experience delivering ITS projects covering systems, software, and data through to physical infrastructure. In 2020, Chris led the commissioning process for Perth's first Smart Freeway which provided up to a 10-minute reduction in travel time. Chris was hands-on with the initial implementation of the STREAMS and Addinsight systems at Main Roads WA and provides advanced ITS direction to the Road Network Operations Centre. Chris is currently engaged in delivering Perth’s next Smart Freeways projects and is leading the in-house development of a real-time modern operations platform for Main Roads WA.
